How did you tell your husband and parents you were pregnant?

I just want to hear your stories!!





I told my husband by getting him a shirt and having printed I'm the Daddy on the front!! He soon caught on!!





We told our parents over christmas lunch 2007 that next year there will need to be more space around the table!!

my story is kind of funny... my husband was the one telling me i was pregnant. lol it sounds funny i know but he was always playing around telling me that we were gonna have a baby, well the day after i missed my period, we went to go get a test. and low and behold it came out positive! He even told me we were gonna have a baby boy even when i was so sure that we were gonna have a girl.


about a week later we took another test to be sure and again it came out positive.... now my husband is in the military and he was away doing some field training, and my mom and i went out to eat dinner, and i couldnt keep it from her any longer....i told her that i missed my period and that i could possibly be preggo, at first she looked kinda confused, but happy..lol. she went with me to go get the HGC test and again it came out positve...shes so excited now shes constantly buying the baby stuff

I rang him in floods of tears, and basically blurted it out. I was in dread as i'd had 3 previous miscarriages, and was convinced this one would end the same. He was driving at the time, so poor man almost had an accident.. However wonderful man my husband is, he turned right around, and drove straight home to find me wearing his favourite shirt, and eating strawberry icecream. He hugged me, and tried to disguise the tears in his eyes, which started me off all over again.. His parents and my mom guessed before i could tell them anything. My constant throwing up was a dead giveaway.. When we discovered it was twins at 20 weeks, we both blubbed.. he still carries the scan picture in his wallet..
My hubby told me i was pregnant we'd only been trying a month i took a test an it was negative so i go away leave it in the bathroom he gets up goes loo comes back with the test an goes so your pregnant then? I was so shocked!! I didn't leave it the 4 Min's its was first thing in the morning an i wasn't thinking straight!


I told my mum a week later an i'd bought her a donut from krispy creme an i told her to sit down an all she was worried about was her donut whats wrong with my donut? Have you eaten it?? lol i told her then chucked it at her lol was very funny!! xx
I phoned my hubby soon after doing the test and said that I had awful period cramps as I had came on my period. Later, I said I wanted a serious talk with him. I think he was getting worried!


I sat him down, all serious, then simply placed the positive test in front of him.


Watching his face was one of the best moments of our relationship.
I told my partner in a phone call where he answered and I just said ';Hello Daddy.'; We'd been trying so he got it straight away and was delighted. I told my parents face to face, just straight up ';I'm pregnant and we're really happy'; - my parent's weren't, I was only 17.
i did a test while he was at work on his birthday and it was positive so i wrapped it up and when he got in i gave him it best present he ever got.
I just said I'm late and they bought the tests, lol
