How do I ask my husband to let me buy a horse when I know he doesn't want me too?

I lost my horse last year and my husband has never been into them and now I want a new one and he is really not on board. How do I get what I want? He doesn't like kids or dogs either. So a horse is really all I have for me.How do I ask my husband to let me buy a horse when I know he doesn't want me too?

If it's your money and what you spend will take nothing away from what's needed for the household, then replace your horse. I assume you have all your equipment still, so the expense wouldn't be as if you were starting from scratch.





If you need his financial help or would be using household money that would need to be replenished, then he gets a vote...even if it's all your money you need to find out why he's against it. He doesn't have to be interested in horses, but why doesn't he want you to have one? Does he just see it as a waste of money or is he jealous of the time you spend with your equine friend?
If you have your own money to finance owning a horse why do you need his persmission? If however he is in control of the finances see if he will compromise and try a horse on loan or a share that way you do not have total financial responsibility..

do a trade let him get something he really wants in exchange for him letting you buy a horse.
