I am not married so I do not know, but I am in a 3 way with a couple. I am not aware she got anything from her husband. This was something we all wanted to do because we are close and we have so much fun together, and that is better then a gift.
Actually Grace, you might be better off with the cell phone. A car would undoubtably be liquidated or deeded to one side or the other in the resulting divorce this 3-some would inevitably bring.
